CSA members are welcome to shop at the Shanti Yoga Prasad store, or order food from Spiritual Food’s Mail Order Service, for pick up or delivery.

Popular items include bread, yogurt, dried fruit and eggs, and many people have weekly or bi-weekly recurring orders for these so they come with their CSA shares. To place a one-time or recurring order please email Durga at: shantiyoga.sol@gmail.com

SHANTI YOGA PRASAD Bethesda Store

Shanti Yoga Prasad is a small store run by the School of Life. Our goal for the CSA from the beginning has been to help members minimize trips to outside stores by providing an array of foods, household and personal care items. Items you see on the shelves and in the glass door fridge are for sale.

Items include cooking oils, raw nut butters, healthy snacks, as well as personal care (including Ayurvedic products and naturopathic Herbs) and environmentally friendly cleaning products. All items are organic, Biodynamic, and / or Fair Trade, and we only offer things that we in the Ashram have tried and use ourselves from places we believe deserve to be supported. HOW TO SHOP AT THE STORE

SYP operates on an honor system, with a money box on the wall, a calculator and scrap paper to write your own “receipt.” 

There is an IOU option if you don’t have your checkbook or change but PLEASE do not let these accumulate more than a few weeks.

SFNM MAIL ORDER SERVICE (SF-MOS)

The Spiritual Food for the New Millennium’s (SFNM) Mail Order Service (MOS) ships Biodynamic and Sattwic Organic food around the country. SFNM was started by Victor (Vyasa Deva) Landa back in 1997, when, struck by the potential of Biodynamic food to be a catalyst for spiritualizing people's consciousness, he and his wife Lakshmi offered to manage the mail order service started by the Biodynamic Farmers and Gardeners Association (BDA).

SFNM’S MISSION:
1. To spiritualize people’s consciousness by making biodynamic food available

2. Help shift society away from predatory corporate practices and destructive market forces by ensuring fair and good compensation is paid to farmers who provide True Food at a time when the "conventional" agriculture yields spiritually impoverishing and physically poisonous "food"

3. Support Biodynamic Farmers by assuming the burden of marketing and distributing their products, allowing them to focus on the vital work of farming.

THE ESSENE CHURCH OF PEACE

Part of the mission of The Essene Church is to provide access to Biodynamic and Sattwic Organic dairy foods, from animals raised on healthy soils who produce dairy containing not only superior nutrition, but vital force (prana and ojas.)

 Healthy Land = Healthy Animals = Healthy Food = Healthy People

 The cows, goats and chickens who produce the dairy available in this program eat foods that are natural to them, free from chemical additives, and are allowed to range freely in the sunshine, grass, and fresh air as long as weather permits, and engage in all their natural behaviors.

 SPECIAL NOTE ON PICKING UP SPECIAL ORDERS AT YOUR CSA SITE

There may be coolers or other boxes at your pick up site (for members of the Essene Church of Peace who are supplied with dairy and other raw products, and for those who order additional items from Spiritual Food).  Please be mindful and do not take anything from these by mistake.
