| You are welcome for a day,
weekend or longer for simply quiet time, a flexible program to
accommodate your interests, or a structured program for specific
needs. You can participate in Hatha yoga classes, meditation,
fresh vegetarian meals, shat kriyas, pranayama; or juice fast, take a steambath or swim. You may stroll or bike the
Capitol Crescent hiker/biker trail, browse through spiritual
books and videos or relax at your leisure. All meals served use
sattwic, Biodynamic and organic food. . |

| While many people are aware
they need to do something different to take care of themselves
and their health, something stops them from taking action whether
it is a simple change of diet or a major change of habits.
Chronic pain, fatigue, insomnia, debilitating stress,
hard-to-control emotions, overweight/eating disorders, etc. may
drag us down, or sometimes the changes in lifestyle we need seem
too foreign or overwhelming to implement. Yet, we know that if we
do not take care of ourselves, we cannot get better, we will not
find the true happiness and inner peace that is our birthright,
nor can we give of ourselves appropriately to our work, family
and community. . |

Getting started and staying on
track is difficult. Perhaps knowledge of where or how to start
may be lacking, motivation is low, or there is simply a lack of
space in life to get going. Setting aside space and
time with a strong support system provides the necessary
practical help in self care. Shanti Yoga offers such

| Cleansing Yoga teaches us to cleanse the body externally and internally to make it pure, healthy and strong in order to express and fulfill the purpose of the Spirit. Juice fasting, cleansing diet, colon cleansing (not colonics), steambath, shat kriyas, pranayama, etc. are part of our activities for purifying the body at Shanti Yoga. . |

| Detoxification/Healing Using the Gerson system as a reference, this program is for people who are interested in overcoming some kind of addiction or have a general need for increased nourishment and detoxification for well-being. Deep cleansing is critical for good physical health eliminating toxins that cause symptoms of disease and preventing the conditions for degenerative diseases to develop. An assessment and plan for follow up at home can be discussed. . |

| Bodywork An effective way of releasing pain and stress – physical, mental, emotional – to experience a higher state of well-being. Bodywork is an excellent complement to yoga practice as well as for people who do not or cannot, due to impaired conditions, benefit from the practice of Hatha Yoga. Integrated Psychokinetic Bodywork and the Kapsos approach of Deep Muscle Therapy are offered. . |
