These homeopathic essences, for humans, animals and the Earth, are the culmination of Barbara’s 16 years’ stewardship and carry the healing vibrations of the farm.

Our time at The Mountain School is coming to an end.  Here in Bellevue, Idaho, we have been mentoring Kate Woods, the head of this startup Waldorf school, in Biodynamic gardening and have co-created with her and the Nature Spirits a lovely small garden. Beginning this time last year we applied Biodynamic preparations, broke ground and laid down a rye cover crop. In spring Kate dug beautiful spiral beds and we all sowed Aurora Farm seeds for the garden, vegetables, flowers and herbs which we have enjoyed all summer. Now, as the harvest accelerates, we preserve vegetables, gather seeds and give thanks. 
When we leave Idaho at the end of October or mid-November latest—where we are going we do not know yet—we will proceed with our vision of  Conscious Compost, Vital Seeds and Land Stewardship.
  • Conscious Composting—By year’s end Barbara will have conducted Biodynamic Composting workshops and hands-on demonstrations in South Africa, Canada, Montana and two in Idaho.  These are much appreciated by the participants and are a service to the Planet; http://www.soulmedicinejourney.com/Compost%20Workshop.html

  •  Land Legacy—Barbara’s son William, 21,( kokopelli_running@yahoo.com ) stayed in Creston, B.C., when we sold Aurora Farm in 2005 hoping, in a ballooning real estate market, to buy his own smallholding, so far with no luck.  All William has ever wanted is to be a steward.  This and other circumstances that have come to our attention—“My husband died this year…how am I going to carry on with the farm?” writes a correspondent—present us with a heartfelt mission to help to link up young would-be farmers with retiring farmers who would mentor them and eventually pass the land on…watch for www.landlegacylink.com .  Nathan,( nateliles@hotmail.com ) Barbara’s younger son, is able to game the corporate monster--he's worked 4 years for one of the largest ski resorts in the West. He knows he's exploited but is patient, building credibility and relationships.  He's wise in the world. However, he will always know, down deep, that he can tend his own land and grow his own food and be of service to the Spirits. He begins part-time college classes this week toward a degree in mechanical engineering. 

Meanwhile, we need to continue to make a living.  Barbara is waiting to hear about an offer to to teach Biodyanmics at Emerson College, Forest Row, Sussex, England—the premier teaching place for such study in the world.  Woody is needing to find a quiet, warm, congenial place to finish his book Deep Gardening: Soul Lessons from 17 Gardens  http://www.soulmedicinejourney.com/Book.html .  All the better if this could be a paid caretaking position.  In any case we need to find a place where we both can be of service to the Planet.
